Glenpool’s volunteer first responders have completed at least 48 hours of medical training plus ongoing certifications. These trained medical volunteers are summoned to an emergency at the same time the ambulance service is called and are there to render aid until the ambulance crew arrives, and assist ambulance crews with emergencies after their arrival.
Keith Robinson began the program 15 years ago, when the city's ambulance service was based in Tulsa and response times were 15 to 20 minutes.
First responders do not transport patients to area medical facilities. If you need an ambulance for a non-emergncy transport, please call the medical non-emergency number above.
