The Glenpool Police Department currently has five reserve officer positions with plans to increase the force in the near future. These officers volunteer to assist the department with police duties during special events and community assistance programs. They often perform the same patrol duties as full-time officers. Each reserve officer has completed the State of Oklahoma Reserve Academy, maintains an annual firearms qualification and completes continuing education classes.
Persons interested in the reserve program may request an application through the Police Department. Reserve officers must be at least twenty-one years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
